Following the success of Dutton Epoch's first two volumes of John Foulds' melodious lighter fare, this third traversal of a forgotten but agreeably tuneful repertoire reveals even more delights. The ten works presented here in fact fall into some 18 separate movements. The early Undine Suite starts as he meant to go on with a Prlude Romantique followed by musical visits to Kashmir, China and Hungary, all rounded with the Gaelic Dream-Song and Basque Serenade.

"Both previous instalments in this valuable series boasted more than their fair share of gems, and much the same applies to this newcomer." "Lively, affectionate-sounding performances under Ronald Corp's sympathetic direction have been pleasingly captured by the Dutton microphones." Andrew Achenbach, Gramophone “As on the previous discs, Ronald Corp is a sympathetic exponent of the music that well deserves the commitment of the BBC CO, while the sound has all the requiste detail and spaciousness. Malcolm [Calum] MacDonald contibutes his customarily excellent booklet notes.” Richard Whitehouse, International Record Review, April 2014
