This SACD features in quality sound a fair variety of Arthur Fiedler & the Boston Pops works. Ranging from rousing upbeat versions of Georgy Girl, Cabaret, & the title track; to more gentile relaxing versions of Yesterday, Love is Blue, and Lara’s Theme. During Arthur Fiedler’s career he also recorded numerous pure classical renditions, and these are represented on this disc by pieces such as Elvira Madigan and Carnaval Overture. The stand out track to my ears is a most lively orchestral version of A Lovers Concerto, sounds great both in stereo and multi-channel.

The three bonus tracks, including Porgy & Bess; though advertised as just stereo, also includes multi-channel versions with ambient rear sound added.

Overall, the multichannel sound on most tracks appears more ambient/natural than immersive/spectacular. The stereo versions are also clear sounding mixes.
